At cruising altitude, luxury is no longer just about comfort, it is about emotion, craftsmanship, and a sense of place. With its newest business class amenity kit, Brussels Airlines tells a distinctly Belgian story, crafted by three women whose work blends artistry, science, and timeless design.

Following collaborations with celebrated Belgian brands such as Natan and Rainpharma, the airline once again turns to homegrown talent. This time, three Ghent-based entrepreneurs handbag designer Griet Aesaert, skincare expert Dr. Barbara Geusens of Nomige, and artist Elisia Poelman, come together to create an object meant to travel, linger, and be kept.
Brussels Airlines’ ambition is clear: to evoke the intimacy of a boutique hotel in the sky, where every detail feels intentional. The result is an amenity kit that transcends its practical purpose and becomes a collector’s piece – refined, personal, and unmistakably Belgian.

A pouch made to last
For Griet Aesaert, design begins with longevity. Known for her minimalist silhouettes and exceptional Belgian leather, she conceived the amenity pouch as an object passengers would continue to use long after landing. Elegant yet understated, it reflects her belief that true luxury lies in restraint and craftsmanship.
But it is on the inside that the pouch reveals its soul. Aesaert’s signature inner linings vibrant, expressive, and unexpected – invite a quiet moment of discovery. “Tailoring is part of our DNA,” she says. “From the very beginning, I knew Elisia’s work would bring that inner world to life.”

An inner journey
That inner world belongs to Elisia Poelman, whose art invites viewers to wander between reality and imagination. The lining of the pouch is an extract from her painting A Tourist in a Dream, a gentle reminder that travel is as much about inner journeys as physical ones.
Her visual language continues on the eye mask, offering passengers a moment of calm and reverie amid the rhythms of flight. Soon, Poelman’s artworks will also be displayed in The Loft, Brussels Airlines’ lounge at Brussels Airport extending the experience beyond the cabin.

Skincare shaped by science and travel
Luxury, however, must also care for the body. Dr. Barbara Geusens, founder of Nomige, brings her scientific expertise to the collaboration with skincare products developed exclusively for long-haul travel. The lip balm and lotion are designed to counter the drying effects of cabin air, restoring comfort and balance at altitude.
“Travel and skincare have always been deeply connected for me,” Geusens says. “Knowing these products accompany passengers across continents feels incredibly meaningful.”

A living collection
The collaboration unfolds over two years, with a new colorway and design introduced every six months. In total, four editions will be revealed each one a new chapter in a story of Belgian creativity.
Available to business class passengers on Brussels Airlines’ long-haul flights to sub-Saharan Africa and the United States, this amenity kit is more than a travel essential. It is a quiet luxury, a sensorial keepsake, and a reminder that the most memorable journeys are shaped by the details.
