As an all female led team at Amenities this is a cause that’s very close to all our hearts and it’s great to see that many of the worlds leading airlines championing Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
With Qatar Airways for the fourth consecutive year gift limited edition kit, Delta Air Lines crew dress in pink uniforms designed by Zac Posen whilst Etihad Airways is asking everyone to #CheckTheEngine. Iberia provides passengers an iconic pink Solán de Cabras water bottle and Gulf Air flight attendants wearing pink masks. As we draw to the end of October we salute all those airlines that have helped raise awareness.
Qatar Airways: For the fourth year, continued to show its commitment to raising awareness of breast cancer, offering passengers travelling on long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights in Business Class a luxury amenity bag designed in-house and created exclusively for Qatar Airways by stylish Italian luggage brand BRIC’S.
The airline also showed its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by ‘drawing’ a symbolic pink ribbon in the sky. Flight QR9901 took a special route to create the ribbon image above Qatar with its unique flight path being displayed in real-time by popular flight tracking sites. The ‘Think Pink’ flight was exclusively operated by women
Additionally on all ultra-long-haul flights departing from Doha, passengers will be served a special pink afternoon tea menu featuring raspberry macaroons and opera cake
Delta Air Lines: Designer Zac Posen has gotten in on the effort, joining forces with Delta to design a new pink dress, along with five other pink uniform pieces, as part of our new uniform collection that debuted earlier this year.
Etihad: This Breast Cancer Awareness month, Etihad Airways goes pink as is asking everyone to #CheckTheEngine; to understand the warning signs and detect breast cancer in its early stages.
Gulf Air: Shed’s light on the importance of early detection for women’s health around the world. The airline’s flight attendants will be wearing pink masks throughout the month to mark this occasion and Falcon Gold passengers will be served with refreshing ‘pink’ welcome drinks.
Iberia: Mark the occasion by flooding the interior of several national flights in pink, with special headers and, upon arrival at their destination, the crew will give each passenger an iconic pink Solán de Cabras water bottle.
