Milk – the UK-based agency that specialises in the production of engaging children’s activity pack for some of the world’s biggest brands in the airline, travel and leisure sectors – has created a new activity kit for Marella Cruises’ young passengers.
The kit is aimed at children aged from three to 12 years and is designed to educate them about sustainability and the importance of looking after the world’s oceans, as well as enhancing their onboard experience and ensuring they have a lasting memento of their holiday to take away.
It includes a luxurious and reusable washbag, a set of novel card-based binoculars that fold down so they can be easily transported, an activity book full of factual tasks and puzzles that have been carefully tailored to appeal to all age ranges and a triangular pack of pencil crayons to aid dexterity. Each piece of content is themed around, and promotes, Marella’s existing – and much-loved – M Crew characters.
For the project, Milk focused on ensuring that each element of the kit is captivating, enjoyable and educational. Newly created activities include STEAM learning games as well as educational games that are themed around protecting the environment which is a central value of Marella Cruises.
Aimee Johnstone, Client Services Director at Milk, commented: “We have worked really hard to create a kit that builds on the love and loyalty that young passengers have for the Marella M Crew Characters, but in a fresh, dynamic and new way. We have captured a sense of adventure through a coherent visual aesthetic that mirrors young passengers’ experiences on board.”
Emma Carlisle, GM Cruise Customer Experience at Marella Cruises, added: “Milk has done a fantastic job of the new kits which I’m sure will engage our young passengers and help to spark their curiosity around protecting the ocean and the destinations they are set to visit on their voyages.”
