Alongside its Dreamliner launch, WestJet in partnership with FORMIA has created a brand new onboard experience for their flights from Calgary to London (Gatwick), Paris and Dublin.
The experience is curated to allow passengers to experience a snapshot of WestJet’s authentic Canadian Story whilst onboard. This extends to the playlist passengers will hear whilst boarding and disembarkation, which will feature soulful music from Sean Jones, as well as original music and classic covers from other Canadian music artists.
Alongside the onboard experience, Business Class passengers will receive a newly designed vegan amenity kit from Montreal’s Matt & Nat. There are two designs for outgoing and incoming kits, and they will feature organic skincare products from Toronto’s Province Apothecary.
Manny Kohli, President and CEO of Matt & Nat says, “We are so excited to be a part of the WestJet onboard experience by sharing our exclusive vegan and cruelty-free amenity kits with their guests. Partnering with a fellow Canadian brand is an honour for us and a wonderful opportunity for travellers to discover our recycled vegan line of goods.”
As well as the developments within the Business Class Cabin, passengers on select Premium flights will receive amenity items designed by Rocky Mountain Soap Company, who specialise in simple, natural ingredients. As Karina Birch, co-owner and CEO says, “As a fellow Alberta-based company, we’re excited to be part of the new in-flight experience on the Dreamliner and the improved experience on other select WestJet Flights”
Some of the Rocky Mountain Soap Company items will also be available on most flights in both Premium and Economy Class. Karina Birch continues, “Influenced by the nature that surrounds us, we’re unwavering in our commitment to using only simple natural ingredients and to working with local partners.”
Passengers on WestJet services can expect to see updates to the onboard offerings continue to roll out across the fleet throughout the remainder of 2019 and into 2020
