FORMIA, the airline amenity specialist, has introduced new First Class amenity kits for Japan Airlines (JAL) in partnership with HERALBONY.
JAL’s collaboration with HERALBONY began last year with the introduction of a partnership for the airline’s Business Class kits. Since then, the collaboration has expanded to initiatives across the customer journey, such as coffee cups in the First Class lounge and printed sleeves for inflight meal boxes.

The new First Class kits feature the work of two artists: Yukihito Okabe, known for his unique artwork featuring vibrant colours and strong touches from moulded crayon shavings, and Yu Takada, a taiko drummer and dancer whose rich sensitivity and imagination are expressed in his artworks.

This collaboration between JAL and HERALBONY, facilitated by FORMIA, aims to overcome perceptions and prejudices about disabilities and to introduce a whole new culture to the world through remarkable art.

Masaharu Iwamoto, Vice President of the Product and Services Development Department in the Customer Experience Division at Japan Airlines, stated, “JAL is proud of our ongoing and significant partnership with HERALBONY and FORMIA. We are excited to introduce these new, distinctive kits for our First-Class guests. Through this expanded collaboration, we aim to spotlight the talents and stories of a wider range of artists to the world!”

“We are honoured to continue our collaboration with Japan Airlines and HERALBONY for these beautifully expressive First Class kits,” commented FORMIA’s CEO & Managing Partner, Roland Grohmann. “Each kit is a remarkable piece of artwork that tells an inspiring story. We hope JAL’s passengers will be delighted and will treasure these long after the journey.”
